Satisfying the customer is often presented as the top priority of people working in the supplier location. In reality, the objective of the supplier plant management is to create value (= make benefit) for company shareholders, stay competitive on the market, increase the plant added value or reduce the extra cost.

One of the skills the Logistics (but also other) employees must have is to protect their company in customer-supplier relationship. The new training program is focusing on logistics specialists to build a fair cooperation with the customer.

Your needs are:

  • Build a fair cooperation with your customer based on mutual respect of standards and project agreements.
  • Develop the skills of your logistics team to protect your company in case you consider the customer requirement issue creation /extra cost payment is not of your responsibility.
  • Create a system in the company so that your employees have a standard process how to handle different customer-supplier issues.
  • Give people arguments to be used in case they find the customer complaint inadequate.
  • Share with trainer & trainees the experience of customer related issues.
  • Standardize the approach of your team and apply Lessons Learned/best practices in plant and within your group
